Night Flying

Tonight I had the opportunity to go flying with my father. He needed some night landings for his next certification. I figured, what a great chance to take some photos and get some type of content up on the page...
Well, the camera is new and complicated (Nikon Coolpix 5700) so I couldn't figure out in the low light how to get the shutter speed fast enough, so the pics are a bit shakey from the plane's vibrations. Never the less, I got a few pics before he handed me the controls so I could try my hand at some landings. Interesting, to say the least, since I have not landed a plane in about 8 years. Im sure the plane will survive...gaff tape will fix anything, right? Fun stuff, but seriously, I managed to get it on the ground three times without a hitch. The photos were taken from the right seat of a Cessna 172 Skyhawk, in case anyone cares. It was nice to get off the ground one more time before going back to UD this weekend.
