I am sorry that it has taken me so long to get back to you. I’ve just been really busy lately. We have reviewed the quote that you send us, and have decided to reject the quote. There are a few problems we had with the quote.
First of all, I have an e-mail from you dated 10/15 giving us a quote of $800.00. I then asked you if you would send us a copy of that quote. When we received the paper quote in the mail, it was dated 10/18 (three days later). With the evidence that we have, this quote seems made up and falsified. We do not agree with this, and we will not accept this.
Secondly, you told me in an e-mail dated 10/9 which states “A contractor will be visiting you in the next few days to determine the cost to have your dishwasher permanently installed with the correct plumbing and electric needed to operate it correctly.” There was never any visit to our house by any contractor. This results in our third problem with the quote.
The quote states it is necessary to take out a 48” cabinet put in a dishwasher and install a 24” cabinet next to the dishwasher. The only 48” cabinet in our kitchen is located on the opposite side of the kitchen than the sink. It is actually located next to the range. There is a perfectly good cabinet located right next to the sink. I am sure that this would reduce the cost by quite a bit as there would be much less plumbing and electrical work to do.
