Searches by police, FBI target bandits of bandwidth
Saw this article in slashdot this morning. I haven't seen Jim or Jono in a while, I wonder if........

Here is the story on slashdot: FBI Raids Homes and Seizes Bandwidth Pirate's PCs, or you can go see the original story. Seems that the FBI has tracked down some internet users in the Toledo, OH area (incuding some from Perrysburg and Oregon), for using too much bandwidth. The FBI took their computers and that's about it. I wonder what's stopping the offenders from going and getting another computer and logging on again. Just imagine if UDIT tried to do something like this. Well, I hope all of you T-town boys are staying out of trouble.

Well, I'm posting this comment from jail.....well, not really. I knew about the exploit, but I (unlike like 12 other people) realized that something like that is so easy to track, even any University's Do it yourself IT departement could find it :-).
