I got up this morning, and go downstairs to leave for my class. Pinned in the front screen door are 5 letters to all of us stating the following:
Dear Resident:
Upon inspection of your house it was discovered that a loft has been constructed in the bedroom on the 2nd floor. This is in violation of your housing contract terms and conditions, which states “Lofts may not be constructed and installed in the University housing.” The loft must be removed.
To clear this violation from our records and to insure the safety of all residents this must be take care of prior to Friday, October 11th, 2002. Charges will be assessed to the student(s) account and te loft removed for failure to comply with this request.
No further warnings will be given and you are responsible for informing all housemates o this warning.
